Whitney Vanterpool is a youth advocate, mentor, and founder committed to transforming how communities and systems support young people. As the visionary behind YES Academy, she equips students with real-world skills, emotional intelligence, and leadership tools needed to thrive beyond the classroom.
With a foundation rooted in community involvement and hands-on experience — from youth programs to facilitating cognitive behavioral interventions within the Bureau of Corrections — Whitney brings both lived insight and strategic impact. She serves on the Juvenile Justice State Advisory Group Board and the VI School Counselors Association, contributing to policy and prevention efforts that improve outcomes for youth across the U.S. Virgin Islands.
